W2 Media Cafe – 111 West Hastings St

Monday, December 10 – 7 pm

December 10th marks the day when the United Nation’s Universal Declaration of Human Rights was written in 1948.

This day is celebrated as Human Rights Day all across the world. In Vancouver, we are pleased to announce that a panel will be held at W2 Café, which will focus on Gaza, Iran, and Afghanistan/Pakistan. The purpose of this panel is to give a follow-up on the latest Israeli attack on Gaza; to evaluate the impact of the US-led sanctions on Iran, especially on the ordinary Iranians; to give an overview of the current humans rights situation in Afghanistan; measure the impact of the drone attacks inside Pakistan, and to analyze what’s in store for Afghanistan and Pakistan as the war draws down the international troops prepare to leave.

Omar Chaaban will be talking about Gaza, Parvin Ashrafi will focus on Iran, and Jahanzeb Hussain will give his views on Afghanistan/Pakistan.

The event is endorsed by StopWar.Ca, Siraat, and Boycott Israeli Apartheid Campaign (Vancouver).
